INSPEX MARINE SCRAP INSPECTION GUIDELINES
(1) Pre-inspection of the stockpiles of HMS 1/2, Shredded and P&S prior to loading
(2) Discussing the contract terms with Shipper's and Receiver's representatives, and the terminal and yard managers during loading
(3) Monitoring the loading at all times to ensure the quality within specs as stipulated in the contract, as per ISRI Codes and Standards
(4) Daily reports with cargo specs and photos, and maintaining regular updates during the loading
(5) Performing draft surveys:
- Draft mark readings taken correctly
- Ballast sounding, water density measured properly
- Dock density measured at the time of reading the draft marks
- Other factors affecting the draft surveys are taken into account for proper calculation, such as weather conditions (rain/snow), cargo conditions (wet/dry), and sea conditions
(6) As surveyor of record, making sure the scrap inspections are performed truely as independent
